We're back! After leaving home on the september 8th and spending twelve days down south, we are back full of memories to share. Our days there were filled with sun, sea, salt and sand, because Portugal's coast is seriously breathtaking. And, well, we're both sea kids. We've always lived by the beach and we couldn't picture life without it. We've spent most days in Portimão - where the pictures above were taken -, but we've also been to Sagres and Luz, so we will be blogging more about our holidays. This blog post features the Três Castelos beach (which means "three castles' beach" in portuguese), our personal favorite from Portimão: clear water, the most beautiful rock formations and beautiful earth tones. Also, in one of our many walks around the beach, we found that face sculpture at the tip of a rock. How cool is that?!

On a different note, we were so happy to see that, while we were gone, you guys kept commenting our blog! Thank you!! We really appreciate all the kind words and support.

Estamos de volta! Depois de rumarmos a sul no dia oito de setembro, estamos de volta e cheios de memórias para partilhar. Os nossos dias por lá foram cheios de sol, mar, sal e areia, porque a costa de Portugal é simplesmente arrebatadora e vale muito a pena explorar. E, bem, somos ambos crianças do mar. Sempre vivemos perto da praia e não conseguimos imaginar estar longe do oceano. Passamos a maior parte dos dias em Portimão - onde as fotografias deste post foram tiradas -, mas também fomos espreitar Sagres e Luz, por isso contem com mais duas publicações sobre as nossas férias. Nesta publicação mostramo-vos a Praia dos Três Castelos, a nossa favorita em Portimão: água límpida, formações rochosas de uma dimensão incrível e os tons terra mais bonitos. Além disso, numa das nossas caminhadas pela praia, encontramos a escultura que podem ver na última fotografia. Quão cool é isto?!

Mudando de assunto (e porque precisamos que saibam isto), ficamos muito contentes por ver que continuaram a comentar o nosso blog enquanto estivemos fora! Obrigada!! Damos imenso valor às vossas palavras. Mesmo.

Wandering the streets of Sevilla

Hi, guys! Today's post is a little throwback to a trip we made exactly a year ago to Sevilla. This one was special, because it was our first time abroad together. We plan to go on many adventures in the near future, nevertheless we believe Sevilla was the perfect place to start this journey. To be able to share this beauty with the person you love is outstanding, and we couldn't be more grateful for the chance that life gave us, so that we could find our path and start building it brick by brick on our own. Have any of you been to Sevilla too?

No one else, nothing else, but us right now

Last weekend we decided to get ourselves back on the road for a two-day getaway. This time we headed north again and ended up in Braga (Portugal). First impression: flowers! There are, literally, flowers everywhere. On saturday, we decided we were going to stroll around with a map by our hands and discover every little corner. And so we did: we got lost in all the lovely streets, went to Stª. Bárbara's Garden - oh so beautiful! -, Porta Nova's Arch, Braga's Castle and a whole bunch of churches. And we ate mango ice-cream (because what else, right?). We weren't very lucky with the weather, since it was cloudy - we do love the clear, blue sky pictures -, but endend up being perfect for walking. On sunday it rained. Our plans were to go to Bom Jesus do Monte Sanctuary and we were so eager to go there that we went anyways, but we chose to leave the camera aside. Do google that place, if you're curious: it's absolutely breathtaking.

We spent the night at the Bracara Hostel, which we recommed if you're thinking about coming to Braga. Very cheap and close to the city center, lovely owners with two lovely cats and a pretty cool decór. So, here's our day 1 around the city!

No fim de semana passado, voltámos à estrada para dois dias longe do mundo. Rumámos outra vez a norte, mas desta vez paramos em Braga. Primeira impressão: flores! Há, literalmente, flores por todo o lado. No sábado, decidimos passear pela cidade de mapa na mão e descobrir todos os cantos. E assim fizemos: perdemo-nos por todas as ruas, fomos até ao Jardim de Stª. Bárbara - tão bonito! -, ao Arco da Porta Nova, ao Castelo, à Sé e a várias igrejas. E comemos gelado de manga (quando em viagem, gelado é obrigatório, certo?). Não tivemos muita sorte com o tempo, já que estava nublado - e nós gostamos mesmo é das fotografias com o céu limpo, azul -, mas acabou por ser perfeito para caminhar. No domingo choveu. Tínhamos planeado ir ao Santuário do Bom Jesus do Monte e estávamos tão entusiasmados com a ideia que acabamos por ir na mesma, mas deixámos a câmara de lado. Se não conhecem o Santuário, façam uma pesquisa rápida: é, sem dúvida, um lugar esmagador pela sua dimensão e beleza.

Passamos a noite no Bracara Hostel, que recomendamos se estão a pensar vir até Braga. Muito barato e muito próximo do centro da cidade, os donos são super simpáticos, têm dois gatos amorosos e a decoração é linda. E foi este o nosso primeiro dia!
